KING'S X Frontman Interviewed At NAMM; Video Available
February 9, 2008Lacey Conner, villainess co-star of VH1's hit TV show "Rock of Love" featuring POISON's Bret Michaels, conducted an interview with KING'S X frontman Doug "Dug" Pinnick at the Dean Guitars booth at this year's winter NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) show, which was held January 17-20 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Watch the three-minute clip below.
Pinnick recently released an iTunes-exclusive EP, entitled "Angel". The three-song release includes two tracks from Pinnick's new solo album, "Strum Sum Up", plus the cut "Blind", which isn't available anywhere else.
"Strum Sum Up", recorded by Michael Parnin (LIMP BIZKIT, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE) at Blacksound Studio in Los Angeles, sports such gems as "Damn It", "Angel", "Coming Over" (featuring a funk diatribe that courageously rhymes "junk of your trunk" with "crunk"),"Cross It", and the explosive, inimitable "Dynomite".

According to HMV.co.jp, KING'S X will release its 14th album, "Go Tell Somebody", in Japan on March 26 via Avalon/Marquee Inc. The CD will be made available in Europe and North America later in the year through InsideOut Music.
"Go Tell Somebody" was recorded and mixed at Wireworld Studios in Nashville, Tennessee with producer Michael Wagener (SKID ROW, ALICE COOPER). This is the second KING'S X album in a row with Wagener manning the boards. Pleased with the results of 2005's "Ogre Tones", the band headed into the studio more prepared and creative than ever before.
